About Azizi Developments
Azizi Developments was established in 2007 and is led by its Founder and Chairman, Mirwais Azizi. It is privately owned: the Dubai Media Office describes it as a leading private real estate developer in the UAE.
Its headline project is still being built. Burj Azizi is planned as a mixed-use skyscraper and, in the Dubai Media Office's words, envisioned to become the second tallest tower in the world. Azizi itself puts the height at 725 metres and says it is the only freehold property on the Sheikh Zayed Road strip. In April 2026 Azizi awarded an AED 1.1 billion structural steel contract for the tower, the kind of construction milestone a buyer should track on a project of this size.
Two of its communities show the range of what it builds. Riviera is a beachfront community set around a crystal lagoon at the heart of Meydan, close to Downtown Dubai, and Azizi Venice in Dubai South is home to a cultural district whose centrepiece is a 2,500-seat opera house designed by Zaha Hadid Architects.
